Yuma

My first thought upon arriving in Yuma was basically, why would anybody ever live in Yuma? However, I am glad that I was able to spend some time there and eventually grow to like it. I suppose I questioned life in Yuma because it is the exact opposite of all the mountainous regions that I have spent my life in. After hearing Richard discuss his passion for Yuma and the future of his CU course I became more and more aware of the beauty and potential that rural communities hold. As I left Yuma a part of me wanted to spend some more time there. An even bigger part of me wanted to spend some time on the fortieth parallel searching for the unknown.
